What are Chiropractic Adjustments?
The Chiropractic adjustment is a term used for various chiropractic techniques. These techniques fall within chiropractic treatment. One of the most common adjustments is spinal manipulation. It is generally categorized as complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Chiropractors are often the first contact point when dealing with accident injuries. The chiropractic adjustment can help people suffering with neck pain after a car accident and back pain.
Chiropractic adjustments are most often to treat complaints, including but not limited to neck and back pain. Chiropractors also treat pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches. Chiropractic adjustment techniques involve manipulation of the spine, other joints, and soft tissues. Treatment also includes counseling on at-home exercises and lifestyle counseling.

The Three Stages of Chiropractic Care
There are three stages of care: Initial Intensive, corrective, and supportive care. The forth stage of care, known as wellness or elective care is an optional stage of care that a person may opt to receive. Our chiropractic care program begins with collection of your personal medical historical information. After our doctor gather the information, our professionals will do a initial examination. Based on the examination, x-rays may be necessary to determine the severity of your condition. Based on the results, providers provide a diagnosis and recommended treatment plan. The treatment plan is a course of action to help you return to good health and remain in a state of wellness.
Stage 1 – Initial Intensive Care
The initial intensive care phase focuses on relieving a patient’s pain. We will work toward reducing and/or eliminating the majority of the discomfort. Also, stabilizing the condition in the shortest amount of time. Visits can be frequent, depending upon the severity of the patient’s condition.
Stage 2 – Corrective or Rehabilitative Care
When the immediate ache and pain diminishes, the second phase will begin. Corrective care treatment program is to improve spinal function by correcting underlying injury and spinal subluxations. Our doctors aim to correct the structure by stretching intrinsic muscles with to help avoid a relapse of the condition. Visits will be less frequent and the course of action will often involve exercises and modification of daily habits.
Stage 3 – Supportive Care
The third phase of chiropractic treatment we call supportive care. This phase of care focuses of maintaining a persons body. Some of the perks include improved health and spinal function. The goal of this phase is to take the necessary steps to prevent the return of the original condition. Often, people that suffer injuries have permanent issues that need ongoing treatment. Unlike bone fractures, muscles and ligaments that attach to the spine sometimes are never the same. Regular scheduled visits to the chiropractor can help prevent recurrence of problems. These problems can occur at any time when permanent damage to the soft tissues are present. These three stages of chiropractic care based on research and science. Our goal is to deliver quality results and good health with our injury recovery programs.
